Artist Statement

The paintings of Durand Seay, artist and architect, are inspired by structures found in nature and quantum expressions of time. There is an association to symbols of balance, serenity, spirituality, and the energies we feel. The work explores the subconscious mind through fantastic imagery. His intuitive character guides the art by spontaneity and controlled chaos, implanting an idiom of time through movement. Seay's thought is like a camera capturing that instant feeling of the wind against your face.​

 

He will always ask you, “How and what does the work make you feel?”
